Student Orientation of STIE Mulia Pratama Bekasi

Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Introduction to Campus and Community Service (PKPM) for Students of STIE Mulia Pratama Bekasi have been held on 30 September – 2 October 2011 in the Gunung Walat University Forest (GWUF), Sukabumi.

The theme carried out in this PKPM activity is “Building Personal Character with Intellectual Based Facing Globalization”. This activity was attended by 300 new students in the 2011-2012 year, 45 committee members, and 25 lecturers.

“The purpose of this PKPM is to introduce new STIE students to their campus and academic community and to do community service around this GWUF. The activities carried out here are learning material related to campus, doing outbound and games, and doing research in the village around GWUF for community service” said Barito Hakim Putra, Chairman of STIE Mulia Pratama Student Executive Board.

“Hopefully, all new students can get to know campus better, get to know the entire academic community, and have a sense of empathy for others. In GWUF, the facilities are quite good and conducive to the provision of material” he added.

“This PKPM is a compulsory activity of new students and as a requirement for the preparation of the final project. Introduction of campuses on campus and community service have the aim to arouse a sense of empathy from new students towards their environment. The material given during this PKPM includes motivation and character education”, explained Wahyu Tri Putranto, M.Ak as a lecturer at STIE who supervised the PKPM in GWUF.
