FMSC 2011 Family Gathering, IPB Department of Forest Management

Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – The “Family Gathering of Forest Management Student Club (FMSC) 2011” event by the IPBForest Management Department took place on 28-30 January 2011 in Gunung Walat University Forest (GWUF).

This activity was driven by a lack of family time within IPB Forest Management (MNH) Department family members and a lack of discussion about the ideas of lecturers towards MNH and students and vice versa.

Participants consisted of students, alumni, lecturers, and families. The number of participants was around 100 people (80 students & alumni, and 20 lecturers and their families).

The aims of this event were to introduce students to the MNH Department and its community more deeply, to strengthen the relationship between MNH academics, and to build MNH community communication.

“The theme used in this event is Establishment of Forestry Mindset and Professional Development within the MNH family. It is hoped that through this theme, the academic community understands and implements forestry mindset in particular”, said Bagus as committee chairman of this activity.

“My impression was that as the committee chairman, the service is very good from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff of GWUF was friendly and the facilities were also supported, such as band instrument, firewood, tree seedlings, rooms to stay, and the hall”, added Bagus.

“I thank the GWUF for the services and facilities that have been given, we are very satisfied with that”, said Bagus again.
