Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Fieldtrip of students of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Economics (ESL) of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB took place on December 7-8 2013 in Gunung Walat University Forest.

This activity was attended by 39 students from the 48th batch of the ESL Department and one student of the 47th batch from the Department of Management.

“We go to Gunung Walat to see natural recreation and ecotourism in here. We are from the Management of Conservation Area courses class” said the committee chairman, Muhamad Fajar, when met at Gunung Walat.

According to the 48th student batch of the ESL Department, in addition to fulfilling the course assignments, students were required to find as much information as possible about Gunung Walat, both from vegetation and management.

“We are also asked to find out what interesting objects are and how they are managed by Gunung Walat, then we interviewed the people who visited Gunung Walat about how comfortable they are here and we also have time to see the springs” he said.
