Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Tour of the IPB 49th Batch of First-Year Male Dormitory Student was held on April 13-15, 2013 in the Gunung Walat University Forest.

Participants of this event were 43 students consisting of senior residences, the “RT”, and “Lurah” of each C1, C2, C3, and C4 dormitory.

“This program aims to strengthen friendship among dormitory student” said Dr. Soni Trison, M.Si as Unit Manager of the IPB 49th Batch of First-Year Male Dormitory Student.

Activities during this tour were the introduction of GWUF management, outbound, alumni talk shows, dormitory talks, travelling around, the introduction of GWUF biodiversity, and planting tree seedlings.

“We want to introduce GWUF to IPB students as a whole so that they play an active role to contribute to maintaining the assets of IPB Faculty of Forestry” explained Dr. Soni Trison, M.Sc.

“All participants were very impressed and enthusiastic because they became aware of the forest and the importance of the forest for life”, he added.
