Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – The Working Meeting of Indonesian Foresters Collaborative Forum (FKRI) took place on October 27-28, 2016 in Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi.

According to a representative of forum members who was also the Dean of Faculty of Forestry IPB, Dr. Rinekso Soekmadi, the forum whose had not reached one year yet aimed to provide input to the government while accommodating the aspirations about various sectors, especially forestry.

“In the future, it will become our challenge to improve the professionality of foresters who are a part of forestry professional engineers in their respective regions” he said.

Rinekso Soekmadi advised the participants after attending FKRI work meetings, to embrace institutions that have concerns about forestry problems in Indonesia and then work together to create a professional and innovative forestry business.

“Hopefully, this can be a snowball effect so that in the future more and more institutions will join this” he concluded.
