Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Practical of Sustainable Forest Management (PPHL) for Students of Faculty of Forestry, Lancang Kuning University (Unilak) Riau had been held on May 16-25, 2016 in the Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi.

The practice was attended by dozens of Unilak students and guided by lecturers and assistant lecturers from the Faculty of Forestry of IPB.

During their stay at Gunung Walat, the students got material about forestry that included forest product industry, forest planning, utilization of non-timber forest products, forest protection, forest development, conservation of forest resources, and visits to Perum Perhutani teak plantations in Cianjur.

From the results of activities at Gunung Walat, a positive impression from students was expressed by one of the Unilak student representatives.

“My impression for this place is extraordinary, we have had so many experiences at Gunung Walat, especially for from assistants. They are truly extraordinary in guiding and teaching us during the practice” he concluded.
