Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Forester Training (BCR) for Students of the Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan) of IPB took place on October 6-7 2013 in Gunung Walat University Forest.

The two-day event was attended by new students of 49th batch and the big family of Faculty of Forestry of IPB. Carrying the theme “Intimacy and Service Forester”, it was expected that this event could unite all components in the Faculty of Forestry of IPB.

“So the activity is essential to familiarize each other, between fellow students and the Fahutan family. Whether they like it or not, this event is a part of the scenario to reach that target” said the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry of IPB, Prof. Bambang Hero Saharjo, when met at the location of the event.

According to him, the activities which had become the annual agenda of Fahutan was expected to maintain the sense of solidarity that has been going well, especially in the big family of Fahutan.

The same thing was also expressed by the Chairman of the 2013 BCR Committee, Fajar Alif. According to him, the result of this activity is to be able to bring the Faculty of Forestry IPB more advanced, especially in Indonesian forestry.

“It expected in this activity, that through the togetherness we build and feeling we have, a spirit of unity can be raised deep in our heart” he said.
