Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Gathering of IPB Faculty of Forestry staff took place on 25-26 June 2011 in Gunung Walat University Forest.

This gathering was held to introduce the Gunung Walat University Forest (GWUF) to the staff of the Faculty of Forestry because most faculty staff had never visited GWUF in Sukabumi. In addition, this gathering was also a farewell party to the outgoing Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Hendrayanto (2007-2011) who will be replaced by the upcoming Dean, Prof. Bambang Hero Saharjo (2011-present).

This gathering was attended by 120 faculty staff, the Head of Administration, and several lecturers who’re member Faculty Commission. The GWUF Executive Director Ir. Budi Prihanto, MS and GWUF Business Development Director Ir. Nandi Kosmaryandi, M.Sc.F have also attended the gathering.

This gathering included a friendly night between Deans and staff and entertainment programs such as door prizes and musical instrument. In the morning, there was a healthy walk around the forest and morning exercise. On this occasion, there was also a racing game which competed for prizes joint by department staff and GWUF staff.

The impression that was received by all staff was very enjoyable because for 2 days they were entertained exclusively with various entertainment and classy menus. This is a form of appreciation from the Faculty of Forestry to the GWUF for staff who have been loyal to providing services at the Faculty of Forestry.
