Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Basic Training of Student Leadership (LDKS) of SMP Islam Al-Azhar, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta has been held on 28-30 October 2011 in the Gunung Walat University Forest (GWUF), Sukabumi.
The LDKS activity was attended by 25 students who were new student organization members, 10 student council members, and 10 teachers.
“This LDKS program is conducted every year with the aim to provide leadership. Leadership practices include activities such as meeting techniques, letter making, line marching, muhasabah, and evening devotions. The provision is the basic ability that must be owned by the student organization because the student organization, besides studying, can also run organizational programs. At SMP Islam Al Azhar, there are 330 students represented by 25 students of the student organization” said M. Haryono, MM as Deputy Headmaster for Student Affairs who is also the person in charge of this LDKS.
” Infrastructure and facilities at GWUF are ideal, far from the crowds, there is a place for praying, class, and outbound place. What we feel is an activity that is indispensable for children and the impression of GWUF is that the situation in Gunung Walat is satisfactory. The service and coordination and are almost without obstacles”, he added.
