Training and Fieldtrip on Seed and Nursery Management by Rumpin Seed Source and Nursery Center Bogor

Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Training and Fieldtrip on Seed and Nursery Management by Rumpin Seed Source and Nursery Center Bogor took place on 27 October 2011 in the Gunung Walat University Forest (GWUF) in Sukabumi.

The training was attended by 30 people from the Center of Plantation Seeds and Watersheds from all over Indonesia.

This training theme is “Quality Seeds, the Beginning of Success in Forestry Development.” Activities during the training are the practice of selecting trees (mother trees) and tree climbing practices with the help of tools.

The breeding and the selection of plus trees coaches are Dr. Supriyanto and Rahmat Syafei, meanwhile, Udin Abdul Noviara is the tree climbing trainer.

“Thank God, we are well received in GWUF and the facilities are very good. We use GWUF as a training place because this is a forest for educational facilities and there are lots of forest seeds” said Kusnadi, the training committee of Rumpin.
