Jungle survival and search and rescue training for staff of the Forestry Planning Board

Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Jungle survival and search and rescue training for staff of the Forestry Planning Board was held on May 23-28, 2011 in Gunung Walat University Forest.

This training was held by the Bogor Forestry Education and Training Center, Rumpin Campus Training and Education Center.

There were 40 participants who were the staff of the Forestry Planning Board from all over Indonesia.

“The aims of this training is to provide knowledge and skills for the staff in the field,” said Zen Zainal as the executive committee of the Bogor Forestry Education and Training Center.

Jungle survival training was held in GWUF because GWUF had very adequate accommodation and suitable forest areas for training.

The training also includes camping in the forest, learning techniques for survival in the forest, and theoretical explanation by the instructor.
