Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Forestry Training for Wasganis-PHPL by Production Forest Utilization Monitoring Center (BPPHP) Region VI Lampung had been held on 7-14 September 2015 in the Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi.
This training was attended by 11 participants from Bengkulu and 19 participants from Lampung.
“The purpose of this training was to support the operational development of Production Forest Management Units (KPHP) in Lampung and Bengkulu. So the top priority of the training participants is from KPHP in Lampung and Bengkulu” said the training committee of Technical Staff Supervisors (Wasganis) of Sustainable Production Forest Management (PHPL) of Forest Planning in Bandar Lampung, Ira Kartika Rini, SP when met at the location.
Ira Kartika Rini said that the training was held for 30 days in two places. First, the theory and practice were held at Lampung Agricultural Research Institute meanwhile then the second activity was held in Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi, West Java.
“The activities include theory and practice. In theory, the materials are friendly chats, emotional and spiritual intelligence, organizational governance, forest planning, preparation of work plans, Periodic Comprehensive Forest Inventory (IHMB), Prior Logging Stand Inventory (ITSP), and supervision techniques” she said.
Ira Kartika Rini added that during their stay at Gunung Walat, many participants received positive impressions. However, there were a number of other things that need to be concerned by the GWUF in relation to the access to the car that needed to be addressed.
“It was actually so nice to be here, but on the first day we were a bit surprised. It might be because of the steep terrain There were some participants who were surprised to enter here. However, the companion here has guided us well” concluded Ira Kartika Rini who worked as a technical staff certification section of Production Forest Utilization Monitoring Center in Region VI Bandar Lampung.
