Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Forest Management Practices (PTKH) by Forestry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University was held on September 3-13, 2014 in Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi.

This practice was followed by dozens of 4th-semester students who will enter the 5th semester. The practice material learned was tapping pine resin, national park management, community forestry activities, pests and forest disease, inventory of forest stands and silviculture.

From the overall activities in Gunung Walat, there had been a positive impression on the knowledge earned as expressed by representatives of UNRI students named Maizar Effendi.

“The trip in here is awesome. This experience is very important for all of us because here is where we get the knowledge that we haven’t gotten in Riau. We can only express a big thanks to the GWUF and the assistants and lecturers from the Faculty of Forestry, IPB, who educate us and train us for 12 days here, SALAM RIMBA!” he concluded.
