Gunung Walat, Sukabumi – Competency Work Practices (PKK) of SMK Adi Sanggoro Bogor took place on April 25-30, 2016 in Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi.
This practice was attended by 180 students of 11th grade Geomatics majors, 8 teachers, and seniors who have graduated from school.
According to the Chief Executive of the PKK SMK Adi Sanggoro, Jaelani ST, the activities that are held annually were aimed to prepare students ahead for Industrial Work Practices (Prakerin) to be implemented when they are in 12th grade.
“Well, to complete their skills competencies at the end of each semester, the PKK is always held. It aims to make the student understand more about their competence so that they will be accepted in their career or industry” said Jaelani.
Jaelani said until 2016, SMK Adi Sanggoro Bogor had held the 6th PKK activity at Gunung Walat. With the reason of complete facilities owned by Gunung Walat, the participants and the committee can enjoy any event easily. The natural condition of Gunung Walat is also quite representative of field practice.
“The accommodation allows the student to do their practice, we don’t need to think how or where they sleep as in Gunung Walat all facilities have been provided, such as bed, rooms, and classes. I also see it as a wide practice area and allows to conduct geomatics or survey mapping techniques” explained Jaelani.
